P. Olsen Sibast founded Sibast Møbler in Stenstrup, Denmark in 1908. Over the years, the enterprising cabinetmaker built up a renowned furniture enterprise that would greatly influence the Danish industry. From the beginning, Sibast Møbler supplied high-quality furniture to customers in both Denmark and international markets.

Helge Sibast naturally became the face of Sibast Furniture, leading design and production thanks to his creativity and talent. Working with Arne Vodder, the company expanded internationally in the 1950s, and over the next two decades, they together collaborated with a number of Danish Design’s most accomplished designers.

Helge Sibast was a skilled furniture designer, creating iconic and innovative designs that form the basis of the Sibast collection. His mastery of wood and attention to detail set him apart, resulting in functional and comfortable pieces.
