The epitome of form, craftsmanship and comfort, The Tired Man Lounge Chair was originally designed for The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Competition in 1935. It is characterised by organic, bearlike shapes and then as now it created a sensation with its curved form and voluminous armrests.

Sitting in the chair should, in Flemming Lassen’s own words, be ”as warm and safe as a polar bear cub in the arms of its mother in the middle of the ice cap”.

The soft lines and round shapes from the armchair continue in The Tired Man Ottoman. Relaunched in 2015, the award-winning design is offered in plush sheepskin in a nod to the original, and with natural or dark-oiled oak heartwood legs and front brass casters for easy movement.
